The Comox Valley
Harbour Authority marina was created in 1991, in response to a Department
of Fisheries Small Craft Harbours initiative to bring local community
management to the publicly owned Commercial Fishing Harbours on the BC
coast. The Comox Valley Harbour Authority marina is a federally incorporated non-profit corporation. Representation on our volunteer board is drawn from the Commercial Fishing Fleet as well as from Courtenay, Comox, and the Comox First Nations. We used to be called "The Government Dock", but now our official name is "Comox Valley Harbour Authority". But we still have the familiar red railings! |
To operate,
maintain, and manage a public fishing harbour, with services and
facilities designed to allow opportunities to further enhance the economic
stability of the
harbour.

Currently, we have
big plans for a NEW marina office with even better facilities to
serve the Comox Valley fishermen and boating public. For further

Harbour Marina - come to the Bullhead
Derby every August.
